Salvation comes because a person chooses it. It is given when a person believes and obeys the word of the Lord. It is not merely an emotional ride. Salvation is not a feeling that strikes you from out of the blue.
God has done his part in our salvation; Jesus has done his. Now it’s all about our choices. Will you accept or reject?
Then what? Resurrection and judgment takes place. Jesus says that these (many) shall go away into everlasting punishment; but the righteous (few) into life eternal. (Mat. 7:13-14)
