God is Light and Love
In Eastern light fresh is the dew,
Beneath canopy of distant expanse
An alluring invitation to all life,
To each its assigned task.
Innumerable birds awaken with song,
Beautiful butterflies adorn the air.
The table is spread upon the green earth.
Busy bunnies seek garden treats
Hungry squirrels accumulate their feast.
Lovely lilies sway in gentle breezes,
Their perfume pleasantly inhaled.
Newly painted canvas arrives in the West.
Twinkling starry atmosphere soon appears.
Where did the Eastern light go?
As darkness descended in its place
Do you see the evidence of perfect design?
God, possessing the very essence of wisdom
Created and sustains heaven and earth.
He made all, including you and me.
He nourishes and cherishes us with love.
He is Light, therefore He made light.
He is Love, therefore He sent light.
Our God is Light, our God is Love!
