That which God created from the dust was the body of man. Take note that man became a living creature; soul; person, after God breathed life into his nose. This act of God is the creation of the whole nature of mankind. The clay; the dust, introduces us to the physical frame of man. The breath of life which God supplied; breathed into a lifeless frame of clay, speaks of the spirit; and then man became an active; living; animated being; soul.

Our spirit is the highest part of man, which connects us to God; renders us capable of worship to our Spiritual Father. Our ‘soul’ is the lower part of our mental nature; the seat of passions and desires of our earthly nature. Our body is the house of our spirit and soul. What a raging battle from within! Oh, wretched man that I am. So, I ponder; I pray.
